ASUS ROG Phone | Fastest Phone In The World

ASUS just unleashed a gaming beast of a phone. After dominating computer gaming, ASUS has decided to storm its way into gaming mobile phones. Never have we been so impressed this much by a gaming phone before. ASUS announced its ROG phone which might be the most unusually sexy looking handheld device we have ever laid our eyes on.

ASUS ROG phone comes with pretty slick aesthetics. The device is unlike anything ever seen before. There are sharp cutouts on the phone for stereo speakers. On the back, there are aesthetic lines and the camera has hexagonal cutout. The phone doesn’t just speak performance from its design language. This is the fastest phone ever created. ASUS ROG uses the SD 845 processor is clocked at 2.96GHz along with 8GB of RAM.

There are two storage options available i.e 128GB or 512GB. This is the first mainstream device that comes with 512GB storage option. The phone includes 802.11ad Wi-Fi, which is a rarity. There is an enormous 4,000mAh battery with ASUS “HyperCharge” 20W fast charging.

ASUS ROG has three ultrasonic pressure sensitive areas. One of them is on the side just like HTC U series phones, which can be squeezed to activate “X Mode”. X-Mode is the gaming mode. This shuts down background tasks, turns the theme red and if you have the cooling peripheral (AeroActive Cooler) connected, it turns on the cooling fan. On the top and bottom corners the pressure sensitive points can be used as triggers, given that the game supports mapping of them.

There is a headphone jack at the bottom of the phone along with a USB Type-C port. The phone has an accessory port in the center on the left side. This port can be used for charging the phone while you are playing your games. The headphone jack supports high-res audio.

The display on ASUS ROG phone is an AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. The screen refresh rate is a whooping 90Hz. This is unlike anything we have seen before. ASUS claims there is HDR support on board as well.

There is a lot that ASUS ROG phone has to offer. Hopefully the gaming market will react in a much positive way. It is about time we started having mainstream gaming phones.
