LG G7 ThinQ | The New Features Are Amazing

LG just unveiled its comeback flagship and it comes with a good deal of new features. LG has been struggling for the past 2 years in the smartphone market but still launched its most advanced flagship for 2018. LG G7 ThinQ comes with the latest design trend of 2018.

LG G7 ThinQ comes with the notch. Most phones in 2018 are following the Apple trend. Phones are supporting notches and slimming down bezels. The bezel starved phone supports the front facing camera, ear piece and the ambient light sensor on the notch.

The display panel on the phone is totally new. It is a bright 6.1-inch panel with a resolution of 3120×1440 pixels. The new display is an evolution of the Full Vision panel. The new M+ panel uses an RGBW pixel arrangement. The extra pixel is there to enhance the contrast and provide the phone with 1000 nits of brightness levels. This is the most we have ever heard of on any phone. The screen supports HDR 10 format.

The front and back of the phone are covered with Gorilla Glass 5 with an aluminum frame sandwiched in between. The glass back helps the phone support wireless charging. The battery measures at 3,000mAh, which in our view is very less. LG G7 ThinQ comes with USB Type-C connector and Quick Charge 3.0.

LG G7 ThinQ comes with Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone also has a MicroSD card slot.

The camera on the phone is a dual-lens affair. Both lenses this time around have the same resolution of 16MP. LG previously had different resolution for its two lenses. LG keeps its winning formula intact where one lens has a normal field of view whereas the other lens has a wide field of view. The primary sensor has OIS, phase detection and an aperture of f/1.6.

The second lens however, does not have OIS but is fixed focused. The second lens has an aperture of f/1.9. The low light shots are helped by LG’s camera AI tech.

The phone has the all-important 3.5mm jack and supports high-end 32 bit Quad DAC. LG also promises that the phone will be able to capture audio from 5 meters. This range will also help Google assistant. This might be LG’s final hurrah of flagship phone. We need to see how consumers react to LG’s latest offering.
